It’s a strange world we live in,
When we turn our hearts into stone whenever we see little boys and girls with their outstretched hands begging for alms, thinking in our mind that this is yet another racket being operated and we would only encourage them by handing out something, never once thinking that the poverty they face is real.
It’s a strange world we live in,
When we become crestfallen with our latest project marks or the latest CP, and not look at the beautiful friendships we have , not being thankful to God for giving us the opportunity to meet with such diversely talented people.
It’s a strange world we live in,
When the ideals we nurtured all our life crumble in a hasty or hot-blooded moment
It’s a strange world we live in,
When we don’t realize the world needs us, whoever we are, to go and shine in people’s lives, give them the joy of love and warmth, and us the joy of purpose..........

The author seems a bit disoriented. By what stetch of imagination can you connect poverty and CP marks???.....This is gross, just playing around with fanciful words!
ReplyDeleteI feel poverty cannot be removed by giving alms ...
ReplyDeleteStrictly against giving to beggars...it only makes them dependent
aint it a bit too general and full of miseries. better to be posted in a person's personal blog about his/her under-performance in the academic circles. this blog is supposed to have stuff happening in the college and not restricted to one person's experience.
