Dilli Meri jaan!!!

Ramblings of a belle on life@imi@delhi

My first darshan of Delhi was when I was 10 years old. Residual memories tell me I was indifferent to anything significant. This perception underwent a paradigm shift when I started pursuing my higher studies here.

Only opinion everyone concerned for me voiced, about was how unsafe is the national capital. Blissfully casting these aside, I really feel Delhi is a nice place to be in. There is a hotch potch of culture and language. This is the only city in which you will find an auto rickshaw guy asking “pardon me?” and a guy stepping out of a BMW speaking tapori hindi. Be it street side shopping or mall shopping, a dinner at a dhabha or a multi-cuisine restaurant, travelling by a luxury sedan or a metro, Delhi flaunts it all. The size of the roads and the numerous construction sites in this city always amaze me. The sheer enormity of the buildings here, the DLF Select City Walk makes me wonder why people say there is no space in Delhi. No one is left disappointed. Historical past lives in harmony with the twenty-first century technological advancement. Don’t believe me? Just have a look at chandi chowk and DLF Emporio. This city nurtures the dreams of the millions of starry eyed people who embark on a new journey at every entry point. This city gives scope for letting your dreams take shape and provides you with a strong hand which lifts you and takes you wherever you want. This city lets you live life the way you want it to be.

Angel salutes this city!

  1. @ SoundsOfIMI Elite panel :
A humble request : Please refrain from putting such general blogs on this. We expect something special everytime we log on. Blogs like "Never give up on life" are still a welcome, but not this one. This article finds its place on the person's blog & not @SoundsOfIMI.
Waiting for a better blog in future... !!!

  2. I liked the blog...Personal experiences are things or 'My day' are things which people would like to read it . I don't think there is anything wrong in it. The only thing is it should be understood by all people unlike the first 2 blogs on 'Rakmo' which are not understood by many people . We would like the blog to have a wide readership and known all over the college .

  5. @anonymous1- I appreciate your keen interest in making sure that the objective with which this blog was started doesn't get tampered. I think it wud hv been better had it(read blog) to do something with the college, or to be very precise with one or many of our batchmates. Nothing personal but, probably blogs like these are really very general. In fact the angel's experience of life @ IMI (campus/hostel) would hv been welcomed with more warmth and acceptance.

  6. @Akshit : I think you are not aware of the purpose of this blog. If you want to write "My day" things which arent related to ur batchmates or imi or anyhting of that sort, why the hell you want to write it here. I would suggest you create your own blog & have fun there.
